Principal’s Points It’s that time of year when we are approaching our parent teacher conferences. In the fall, we had 98% of parents attend these important meetings, so we are striving for 100% this spring. If something comes up and you aren’t able to make it, please call the school to reschedule. Students have learned so much this year and our teachers’ have been diligent providing the best education for them. It is time to show off their progress and thank the students for their hard work. PTO will meet next Tuesday to plan spring activities. Please consider volunteering as we need lots of help. Remember my door is always open to any concerns or questions you may have so please drop by. I enjoy hearing from you so I can learn and continue to grow as a principal providing the best for your children. Thanks again for all you do in partnership with the staff in making your child’s school experience positive. Enjoy your spring break and be safe as you travel. Congratulations The following classrooms have completed spelling PRIME for being to school on time: Mrs. Searles, Mrs. Dwyer, Mrs. Switzer, Mrs. Dixon and Mrs. Skidmore. I appreciate your support in getting your children to school on time. If any of you need assistance with morning routines with your child, please give me a call.

Read-A-Thon Fundraiser Watch your child’s bookbag for information on how we are earning money for our school while participating in a Read-A-Thon. Students will be voting on their favorite Dr. Seuss book, contributing to a Dr. Seuss gallery, and completing a “Read Across America” challenge. As a parent, you need to help your child get registered at home so they are also eligible for prizes. Thanks in advance for your participation.

Safety and Security Please note that we are enforcing our safety and security rules in order to ensure all of us are safe at school. When visiting the school, sign in at the office as we need to know everyone who is in the building. We are reminding students of our “Kindness Matters” as well as our anti-bullying rule which is “when we know someone is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school or at home.” Thanks for continuing to have conversations in your homes about safety. We will be having another ALICE drill (shelter in place) in the next few weeks. I will send you an email so you can be aware and have those discussions at home.
