PRINCIPAL’S POINT
Thank you to all of the parents and students who attended our “Families Matter” last Thursday. I was impressed with the creative quilt squares designed by all of you. If you were unable to come, please complete yours at home as a family because we want everyone to be included. Watch for the Jefferson Family Quilt to be hung outside of our office. During the winter months, we will have a celebration of all of our cultures. We have not set a date
as of yet but hope many families will present their family background. If you are interested in sharing your roots, please give me a call or email me at [email protected] Parent Teacher Conferences are coming soon. We strive to get 100% parent participation. Please watch your child’s backpack for your invitation as they will be in there sometime this week. I look forward to seeing all of you. We will be celebrating Halloween this year but understand if your do not want your child participating. Those students will go to the library and watch a video during the parade and/or party. Let me know if you have questions.

PRIME Focus for October is Perseverance
Students will earn “Caught you PRIME for Learning” slips as they show perseverance throughout the school. Their name will be placed on our 100s board and will earn privileges. Some of these might include starring in our next assembly, earning time at our Maker Space or eating lunch with the principal.
We are excited about our monthly assemblies that remind students of our PRIME and Second Step program.
